Dato’ Sheranjiv Sammanthan has over 30 years of experience in leadership, governance, and strategic business management. He is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Fitrah Capital Associates, a strategy advisory firm based in the UAE. Formerly, he served as Executive Director of Investments and Head of the Managing Director’s Office at Khazanah Nasional Berhad for 10 years, following his role as an equity partner at PwC. He has held board and trustee positions in more than 20 public, private, and non-profit entities, and currently serves on the boards of SP Setia Berhad and Battersea Power Station Development Company.
Dato’ Sheranjiv Sammanthan has 30 years of experience in leadership, governance, strategic business building and management. He is an experienced board member and has held board and trusteeship positions in over 20 public and private companies and not for profit entities during his career.
He is presently Co-Founder and Executive Director of Fitrah Capital Associates, a strategy advisory firm incorporated in the United Arab Emirates.
Prior to this and for a period of 10 years, Dato’ Sheranjiv was Executive Director, Investments and Head of the Managing Director’s Office at Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Malaysia’s government investment company (“Khazanah”). He joined Khazanah in May 2010 from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the international accounting and professional services firm, where he was an equity partner.
He is presently a Board Member of SP Setia Berhad, Malaysia, Bank Negara Malaysia and Battersea Power station Development Company, United Kingdom. He was also a Founding Trustee of Yayasan Hasanah (YH) and served as a Trustee of YH for a period of 5 years.
Dato’ Sheranjiv was born in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan and under took his early primary and secondary education (to STPM) in Seremban prior to being awarded the Malaysian Tobacco Company Undergraduate Scholarship whereby he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce(Accounting) degree from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom.
He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA- ICAEW) and a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors, Malaysia.
